The contest runs currently through Auction 1344, which takes place on ANA Wednesday, August 9. The winners will be announced at the American Numismatic Association WorldÆs Fair of Money, August 9 û 13 in Philadelphia, PA. The three coins we are giving away are a 1907 High Relief Saint-Gaudens $20 Gold piece, a choice uncirculated 1887 $3 Indian Princess, and a high grade circulated 1882-CC $20 gold piece. The more bids you have, the better your chances. Good Luck! by Carly on Wednesday, May 24, 2000 In Auction 1107 on May 4th, Teletrade sold a PSA Gem Mint 10 1986-87 Fleer Sticker Michael Jordan for $17,600 including commission. Although this is a relatively new card, it is rare to find one in gem mint condition due to centering problems characteristic of this particular year. In Auction 1109 on May 11th, Teletrade sold a PSA Mint 9(oc) 1933 Goudey #181 Babe Ruth for $22,500 including commission. Vintage PSA graded baseball cards of Hall of Famers from 1960 and earlier are hot sellers in our auctions right now. by Kelly Hunter on Friday, April 28, 2000 Teletrade has released new features to give our customers easier access to viewing current bid levels and placing new bids. Included in the new capabilities: 1.) When an auction is in progress, the current bid levels are displayed directly in the catalog listing. This lets you quickly see an auction's "good deals," without first having to enter the lots into your tracking list. 2.) Every lot has it's own dedicated page. The current bid level is displayed, and you can directly place a "next" or maximum bid. Dedicated lot pages also allow users to bookmark their favorite lots. The link to the web address of any lot can now conveniently be emailed to a friend, posted to a news or chat group, or published on a web site. These new features make Teletrade auctions more accessible to new users, while providing more convenience to seasoned users. The Teletrade auction site still retains the powerful Personal Tracking Lists, which allow a user to group lots together for bulk tracking and bidding. by Kelly Hunter on Friday, April 28, 2000 Teletrade has released new features to give our customers easier access to viewing current bid levels and placing new bids. You can find these and other exciting PSA and SGC graded cards in our Thursday auctions. Ramlys cards are considered rare, especially in high grades. These would make a wonderful addition to any collection. by Carly on Tuesday, April 04, 2000 Sacagawea is represented on the new US mint Dollar released this year, but who was Sacagawea? Sacagawea was the Shoshone Indian who assisted the historic Lewis and Clark expedition. Between 1804-1806, while still a young girl, she helped the explorers cross the Northern Great Plains to the Pacific Ocean. While on the journey she had a son, who is also depicted with her image on the coin. Sacagawea's help saved the famous Lewis and Clark expedition on more than one occasion. For example, she helped Lewis and Clark obtain the horses they needed to continue their journey. It might be safe to say that without her help, Lewis and Clark would have surely perished. Noted historian Stephen Ambrose said Lewis and Clark owed their success to the American Indians, especially two Indian women. The first was an unnamed woman talked an Indian War Party out of killing the white men and then Sacajawea who not only procured horses in a time of desperate need but also provided navigation and diplomacy along the way. More statues, streams, lakes, landmarks, parks, songs, ballads, and poems honor this young woman than any other woman in American history. Ironically there are no records or drawings depicting or describing her features. The committee who were chosen to design the coin picked a model whom they collectively felt best represented the image of what Sacajawea must have looked like. by CarlyW@Teletrade.com on Wednesday, January 26, 2000 In a recent USA Weekend article, auctionwatch.com named Teletrade and Greg Manning Auctions among their "best bets" in internet auction sites. Teletrade was recognized under the category of Coins and Stamps. Greg Manning Auctions was listed under Fine Antiques.
