Teletrade® is proud to be the official and only online auctioneer of the Binion toned Silver Dollars, which come from the hoard put together by Ted Binion of the Horseshoe Casino fame in Las Vegas. Of the over 100,000 silver dollars originally discovered in a secret underground vault in the Nevada desert, Teletrade will be the exclusive auctioneer of both the hand-picked die varieties as well as the spectacularly toned Binion silver dollars, all of which have been graded and encapsulated in special holders by the Numismatic Guarantee Corporation, NGC.
The Binion variety and toned silver dollars will be sold by Teletrade® beginning March 17, 2002. These coins not only have dazzling provenance, eye appeal and interesting varieties, but also have been called by NGC "the Greatest collection of silver dollars ever authenticated". The coins will be estimated to bring anywhere from an affordable under $100 up to several thousands of dollars. Although half a dozen Binion Toned Silver Dollars were offered in January 2002 in a Teletrade® Premier Auction, and another 20 lots were in the February 24, 2002 Teletrade® Premier Auction, the true inaugural first offering of Teletrade® Binion Rainbow Collection coins will be March 17, 2002, as a featured part Teletrade®'s St. Patrick's Day with about 700 Rainbow Toned Binion coins offered in over 400 lots.
Highlights and dates range from: 1883-O, 1878-S, 1885, 1886, 1887, among others, ranging in grade from BU to MS68*, and ranging in approximate estimated ranges for $30-40 up to $8,000-12,000!
