View the Whole Auction Online This set will be sold as individual lots and include the following coins. Lot 1268 is a 1915S Panama-Pacific PCGS MS66 Quarter Eagle (estimate, $6,000-7,000); lot 1270 is a 1915S Panama-Pacific PCGS MS66 Gold Dollar (estimate, $3,600-4,200); lot 1113 is a 1915S Panama-Pacific PCGS MS65 Half Dollar (estimate, $2,000-2,500). But certainly the highlight coins will be two magnificent $50 gold pieces from the Panama-Pacific Exposition, lot 1271, which is the $50 Octagonal which is an NGC MS65 (estimate, $75,000-95,000), and the $50 Round, also an NGC MS65 (estimate, $90,000-110,000). These two marvelous pieces are extremely well matched and exhibit stunning, rich gold tone, and ample die polish throughout. This will represent the first time that Teletrade® has ever offered such a set in any of their auctions. It must be emphasized that despite these highflying lots that numerous other coins will be offered at price points from as little as $100 and up, as the Teletrade® Premier Auctions focus on absolute quality of a given issue, not the absolute prices. Other highlights in the sale include lot 1005, a rare 1869/69 NGC MS65RD Cent (estimate $3,000-3,400); a stunning lot 1049, a 1916D PCGS MS63 Dime (estimate $6,000-8,000); and an exceptional lot 1067, a 1920S NGC66 Standing Liberty Quarter (estimate: $3,900-4,400). Lot 1077 is one of the most purely visually stunning coins in this auction, an 1881 NGC PR66CAM Half Dollar, which is deeply and attractively toned (estimate $3,000-3,500). Lot 1110 is a Gem 1900 Lafayette Dollar in NGC MS65 (estimate $6,500-7,500), while a lovely early dollar is offered in lot 1121, a 1799/8 13 stars rev. PCGS AU55 Silver Dollar, which is virtually blemish-free (estimate $5,400-5,800). Within gold coinage is a lovely and ever-popular lot 1198, a 1907 PCGS PR63 Quarter Eagle, with the fully brilliant finish (estimate $4,000-5,000); and lot 1209, a stunning and possibly undergraded 1887 NGC PR63CAM $3 Gold piece (estimate $8,200-9,200). But certainly the highlight of the gold section is a stunning matte proof, lot 1214, a 1908 Indian Head PCGS PR65 Half Eagle (estimate $17,500-22,500), which exhibits no visible shiny spots or breaks in the heavy matte finish. Among double eagles is lot 1256, the ever-popular 1907 High Relief Wire Edge Double Eagle, which is PCGS MS62, nearly choice (estimate $8,800-9,800). All 300 lots from the August 4, 2002 Teletrade® Premier Plus Auction will be on view at table 0908 at the ANA world's fair from July 31 through August 3, where Teletrade® associates can assist you in lot viewing or through the entire registration and/or bidding process.
